FIDIC Engineer / Infrastructure (full-time) (m, f, d)
Location: Talas, Kyrgyz Republic
Contract type: Fixed-term position (minimum 1 years)
Introduction:
management4health (m4h) is a network of health professionals founded in 2013, meanwhile a rapidly growing consultancy firm in the international health development sector. Our areas of competency include Health Systems Development, Health Services, Healthcare Infrastructure and Digital Health Information & Research. Our key clients include the German Development Cooperation (KfW and GIZ), EIB, EBRD, EU, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, national Ministries, foundations as well as private clients. The projects we implement for our clients span across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South/Eastern Europe.
For one of our hospital infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, management4health (m4h) is currently seeking to recruit an experienced FIDIC-competent Engineer (full-time) that will ensure professional project steering and liaison with key stakeholders and partners. Further details of the project will be provided during the interview process. The place of posting is in Talas, Kyrgyz Republic.
Responsibilities:
The FIDIC Engineer will work closely with the Client (Ministry of Health), the backstopping team at man-agement4health in Germany as well as the project team on-site and short-term experts. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:
Ensure proper project planning and implementation
Assume the role of The Engineer in accordance with FIDIC Red Book and supervise the Construction Works as well as manage the Construction Contract
Closely liaise and coordinate with the Clients representative
Closely liaise with the medical planning and design team
Steer the procurement process of the infrastructure component
Support the procurement process of the medical equipment component
Ensure supervision of the local team and the international short-term experts
Regularly update the work schedule, adjust milestones, cost and time tracking for each project task, and report any potential delays or bottleckes to the Client, m4h and partners
Support update of financial disbursement plans and financial projections for the project
Regularly monitor and report on implementation progress to both Client onsite and m4h team in Germany
Qualifications:
Architect, Engineer (civil, structural, mechanical, or similar) or similar qualifications
Additional Master level degree in disciplines such as Public Health, Business Administration, Project Management, Monitoring or related fields would be an asset
Required expertise:
Relevant working experience as FIDIC Engineer of hospital or health facility construction projects is a Must;
Relevant working experience with German Development Cooperation (KfW), World Bank or other international financing institutions
Structured co-ordination, organisational, time management, monitoring and communication skills
Experience in budget and financial management
Fluent in English is required, fluency in Russian (oral and writing) would be an asset
Good report writing skills in English(Russian would be an asset)
Thorough familiarity with MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
