Die Aufgaben

A PhD position is available at the Department of Infection Biology, Universitätsklinikum Erlangen.

The project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and will focus on basophil-regulated mechanisms that control allergic lung inflammation after sensitization via the skin (build on Choi et al. (2026) Allergy. 2026 Jan;81(1):220-231. doi: 10.1111/all.70093).

In this project we will use a broad spectrum of cutting-edge technologies and sophisticated mouse models to investigate how basophils and other cell types contribute to the spread of allergic inflammation from skin to lung.

M.Sc. in Immunology or related fields of research

Zusätzlich von Vorteil

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in cellular and molecular immunology.

Solid experience in flow cytometry and use of in vivo models (Felasa-B certificate) would be advantageous.
