TV-L: 38,5 h/week (100%)

limited to 18 months, corresponding to the duration of the project funding, and is subject to the provisions of the German Academic FixedTerm Contract Act (WissZeitVG)

Salary is in accordance with pay grade E13 TV-L

The successful candidate will join a dynamic research laboratory investigating the pathogenic role of the tumor microenvironment in mature T-cell malignancies. The project focuses on the comprehensive multi-omic characterization of tumor–microenvironment interactions using state-of-the-art technologies, including single-cell and spatial multi-omics, advanced flow cytometry-based immune cell annotation, sophisticated co-culture systems, and disease-relevant in vivo models. The postdoctoral researcher will independently design and conduct experiments, contribute to data analysis and scientific publications, and actively supervise PhD, MD, and Masters students. The position offers an excellent opportunity to perform cutting-edge translational research within an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative research environment.

The Pflug/Braun lab is dedicated to studying the causes and predisposing factors that lead to the development of mature T-cell entities. We aim to deepen our understanding of these orphan diseases and generate key insights that contribute to the development of more effective treatment strategies. To achieve this,

Immunology, Hematology, or a related life science discipline Strong background in cellular immunology and molecular oncology Extensive hands-on experience in primary cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, CRISPRi screening, functional cellular assays, and mouse handling Experience with the bioinformatic analysis of singlecell and spatially resolved multi-omic datasets A strong publication record and the ability to independently design, conduct, and interpret scientific experiments Experience in supervising PhD, MD, or Masters students Excellent communication skills, a high level of motivation, independence, and team spirit Proficiency in written and spoken English
