The QUEST Center for Responsible Research at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) at Charité develops and implements new approaches to support the trustworthy conduct of biomedical research and the delivery of useful results in accordance with ethical standards.
To strengthen the Responsible Health Data Analysis (RHDA) team, we are seeking a dedicated Research Fellow (all genders) in part-time (65%), starting on 01.10.2026 and ending on 30.09.2029. The RHDA Team develops and implements methods for the transparent, valid, and responsible analysis of health data, with a particular focus on causal inference and improving the quality of evidence in health science. The position offers the opportunity to design and carry out independent scientific projects in the field of health data analysis. In addition, the position supports the RHDA Team in scientific consulting and the development and delivery of training programs on health data analysis and quality assurance.
The position is initially offered at 65% FTE. We are actively pursuing additional funding opportunities, which may allow for an increase in working hours in the future, subject to successful funding acquisition.
The interviews are expected to take place during the week of August 24.
What you can expect
Conduct independent scientific research in the field of health data analysis
Develop and implement statistical methods for the responsible analysis of health-related data, with a particular focus on causal inference and reproducibility
Perform meta-research to evaluate quality, transparency, and scientific processes in health data analysis, including the investigation of systematic bias and its impact on scientific conclusions
Prepare and present scientific results for publications, reports, and presentation at scientific conferences
Collaborate in interdisciplinary national and international research consortia and support the acquisition of third-party funding
Support the supervision of students and provide them with scientific guidance
Provide scientific advice to researchers at the QUEST Center on questions relating to study design, data analysis, and the interpretation of scientific results
Develop, coordinate, and deliver training and continuing education in health data analysis and quality assurance in scientific research
What you bring along
A successfully completed academic university degree (Masters or Diplom) in epidemiology, biostatistics, medical biometry, medical informatics, mathematics, data science, or
