About us

JUST KFO – Dr. Steinmaier & Kollegen is an orthodontic practice in Cologne-Rodenkirchen and the successor to the longest-established orthodontic practice in southern Cologne.

Three specialists in orthodontics treat children, adolescents, and adults here — from traditional fixed and removable appliances to aligner therapy, TMD pain management, and snoring/sleep apnea treatment. Diagnostics and treatment planning are fully digital: intraoral scanning instead of impressions, 3D planning, and an in-house dental laboratory. Practice owner Dr. Julia Steinmaier is the author of numerous scientific publications on aligner therapy and TMD.

Your residency with us

Full treatment spectrum

Early treatment, fixed and removable appliances, aligner therapy, retention, TMD therapy, as well as snoring and sleep apnea appliances.

Digital from the start

Intraoral scanners, 3D diagnostics and planning, digital setups, and an in-house laboratory with short turnaround times.

Academic connection

Participation in scientific publications and presentations is possible if you are interested.

Your responsibilities

Orthodontic diagnostics, treatment planning, and therapy

Consultation and follow-up appointments with patients and parents

Digital case documentation and planning

Collaboration with the in-house laboratory, dental assistants, and the treating orthodontists

Your profile

German dental license as a dentist – mandatory requirement for residency training

IT proficiency – you enjoy working with digital systems, scans, and 3D planning and are comfortable learning new software

Very high level of commitment – you genuinely want to learn orthodontics and actively contribute

Strong willingness to learn and pursue continuing education – you attend courses, read professional literature, and question treatment decisions

Very strong interpersonal skills – in working with children, adolescents, parents, and the team

Attention to detail, reliability, and a preference for structured work
