About the role
Stuttgart, Germany | Hybrid working – two days from home
Join our collaborative People Services team as an HR Manager, taking a lead role in supporting employees and managers across Germany and Europe.
This is a varied, hands-on HR management role where you will combine operational HR leadership with strategic business partnering. You will provide expert guidance across the employee lifecycle, lead complex employee relations matters, and build trusted relationships with leaders to ensure people priorities support business objectives.
Working within an international, matrix organisation, you will take ownership of HR delivery within your area, support managers in developing their people management capability, and help shape HR initiatives, organisational development and continuous improvement across Europe. You will play an important role in maintaining strong HR governance while creating an exceptional employee experience within a business with a meaningful global purpose.
Key responsibilities
Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and senior leaders, providing expert advice and finding solutions
Lead the delivery of HR activities across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a high-quality employee experience
Lead and advise on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, organisational change and terminations
Ensure HR practices comply with German employment legislation, Works Council requirements and internal policies, managing consultation and engagement with Works Councils as appropriate
Coach and support managers to strengthen people management capability, improve performance and address employee issues effectively
Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, succession, talent and broader people priorities
Oversee recruitment activities, working with hiring managers and recruitment partners
Ensure the delivery of an engaging onboarding experience, including effective inductions, integration and new starter follow-up
Oversee monthly payroll changes and compensation and benefits processes, ensuring accuracy, appropriate controls and timely delivery
Analyse HR data, workforce trends and key people metrics, providing insights and recommendations
Lead and contribute to HR projects, process improvements, policy development and organisational development initiatives across Germany and Europe
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, employees and HR colleagues across the international organisation
About you
Significant HR generalist experience, with a strong background in HR management, business partnering, operations and the full employee lifecycle
Strong knowledge of German employment law and proven experience working effectively with Works Councils
Demonstrable experience leading complex employee relations matters and advising managers and senior leaders
Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and develop managers at different levels of an organi
