We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and internationally minded Association & Communications Coordinator (m/f/d) to join our team in Frankfurt at the earliest possible date. In this varied role, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD) while supporting our communications, fundraising activities, member network and international events.
The European Alliance Against Depression is an international scientific non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the care of people affected by depression. We conduct research, raise awareness, and develop evidence-based initiatives that improve access to prevention, care and treatment. Our mission is to support people affected by depression and their families while helping to prevent suicidal behaviour. Find out more about our work here .
You will join a small, dedicated international team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work and contribute directly to improving mental health across Europe.
Key responsibilities
Association Management
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the association and the EAAD office.
Serve as the main contact for members, partners and general enquiries.
Support the Board of Directors by organising meetings, preparing documents and following up on decisions.
Coordinate membership administration, membership recruitment and HR processes.
Communications & Events
Coordinate the associations website, newsletters and social media.
Support awareness campaigns and communication activities.
Coordinate meetings, workshops and conferences, including the organisation of the International Patient Congress Depression in November 2026.
Fundraising & Partnerships
Coordinate and develop EAADs fundraising activities.
Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities and help diversify the associations income.
Support grant administration and reporting where required.
What skills and experience are required?
A university degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, public administration, communications, public health, or social sciences. Interest in further academic qualification is welcome.
Initial professional experience in administration, project coordination or a similar role.
Experience in communications, public relations, social media or event organisation.
Experience with fundraising and budget management in the Non-Profit sector is an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
Excellent written and spoken English and German.
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small international team.
Confidence using Microsoft Office 365 and common digital collaboration tools; experience with website content management systems, newsletter tools, or CRM databases is an asset.
