Install - Operate - Maintain

Electronics technicians for operating technology set up, maintain and service operating systems. In preparation for their work, mainly on various technical systems such as generators, distribution systems, electrical drives, emergency call and radiotelephone systems and also catering equipment, they create and read circuit and wiring diagrams and other technical designs.

They carry out performance and functional calculations with the help of appropriate formulas, tables and manuals and independently plan and determine their work steps, the material required and the estimated processing time. They use computers for this as well as, for example, to create graphical representations of their measurement results.

Electronics technicians for operating technology monitor the systems, for example, they operate the corresponding built-in control and monitoring equipment. They dismantle, clean and inspect the systems, carry out maintenance, servicing and lubrication work and replace wearing parts if necessary. In the event of malfunctions and faults, they systematically search for their causes and carry out repairs. They select the parts to be replaced, procure them and install them in the system.
