Research Associate (Postdoc) in Artificial Membrane Systems (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities include:

Commissioning a newly acquired experimental setup for artificial membrane systems

Active participation in the planning of a mutation study to elucidate structure-function relationships in a viral model potassium channel

Conducting electrophysiological measurements, with a focus on artificial membrane systems

Data analysis using various computer-aided methods

Preparation of results for conference presentations and publications,

Supporting the group leader in supervising doctoral students.

Your profile:

A completed experimental Ph.D. in biophysics, physiology, biology, molecular biology, or a related field.

Prior experience with electrophysiological methods or molecular biology techniques is advantageous

Willingness to learn methods for computer-assisted data analysis. Prior experience in this area is also advantageous.

Ability to work independently on research projects and actively participate in project planning.

Excellent written and spoken English; good German skills are a plus

Proficiency in using a computer

Willingness to travel for project-related purposes, e.g., conferences or training
